How One Person Can Make a Difference for the Environment Scholarship Essay Contest

In additional to manufacturing and selling eco-friendly mattresses and home goods, PlushBeds sponsors individuals seeking a higher education by awarding twice yearly (Spring and Fall semesters) a $1,000 scholarship to the winner of our current green scholarship essay. For the year 2015, the topic and assigned essay title for prospective candidates of the scholarship award is "How One Person Can Make a Difference for the Environment".

You may either write about your own experience(s) or that of someone else, demonstrating how one person truly can make a difference for the ecosystem we all live in and enjoy on a daily basis. The most important consideration in writing your essay will be that you convey by real experiences how one person (yourself or someone you know or look up to) took it upon themselves to start and follow through with some type of green initiative that had a noticeable and lasting effect on their surrounding environment. Some great supporting evidence would be how measurable and sustainable the actions were (was it a one-time event, or do the actions and behavior continue to thrive and flourish even today?). What does the future hold for the initiative you are writing about?
