What You May Expect of Your Plushbeds™ Memory Foam Mattress
As with all high quality foam mattresses, the Plushbeds™ memory foam mattress is sensitive to temperature and humidity. In rooms 65 degrees Fahrenheit or less or low humidity, the mattress will become somewhat firmer. However, it will readily warm and respond to your body temperature with you lie on it. Due to the temperature- sensitivity of our high quality Plushfoam™ material, we do not recommend using an electric blanket or heating pad with the mattress. If your mattress has been subjected to temperature lower than 40 degrees, it is important that you let the mattress naturally conform to its new environment.
Preparing for Years of Quality Sleep
As with any new mattress, it may take a while to become accustomed to your new Plushfoam™ memory foam mattress. Most people are very comfortable using their new mattress on the first night. Others however, may need several days to adjust to the unique Plushfoam™ feeling. Sleep on Plushfoam™ memory foam side only - this is a no-flip mattress. Due to the unique manufacturing process of our Plushfoam™ memory foam material, the mattress may appear to have a slight odor similar to the way a new car smells. Due to the extremely high density of our Plushfoam™ mattresses, it may carry the factory odor for up to three weeks, which is natural. All high-quality foam materials have this characteristic which is normal and completely harmless. Use, Care, and What You May Expect of Your Plushbeds™ Natural Latex Mattress
Your Plushbeds™ Natural Latex Mattress is highly resilient, and will NOT degrade or decay over time with proper care and use. Do not use outside in unsheltered environments. Do not use irons or electric blankets on or near this product. Electric blankets can be used on low settings if not placed directly on the latex surface. Variability in room temperature does not affect the feel or consistency of latex. Our Plushbeds™ Natural Latex Mattresses are no-flip mattresses and never need to be turned or rotated. The exterior covering shipped with our mattresses can be machine washed and dried. Do not apply cleaning solutions directly to latex foam. Becoming carbon neutral means that we have obtained a carbon offset to balance out any greenhouse gas emissions we create by running our website and back end operations.
We worked with TerraPass on doing a carbon audit. They helped us measure exactly how much carbon we were putting into the atmosphere by running Plushbeds, Inc.
Armed with that knowledge, TerraPass has taken actions to offset our carbon footprint by funding clean energy and other projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. At the end of the day our carbon emissions will be balanced out by a comparable amount of carbon reductions.
Every TerraPass project is conducted and verified according to a publically available carbon offset standard such as the Voluntary Carbon Standard 2007 and the Climate Action Reserve.
