From what I read on the PlushBed website the orthopedic foundation appears to be well made, easy to assemble and apparently is covered (wrapped) on all sides. The comments made by previous purchasers underscore the positive conclusions I made after researching multiple manufacturers of wood framed foundation products. I'm trusting the actual product will indeed "live up" to my expectations!!

Makes sense to offer the mattress the support it needs. How can one item work at its best without the other? I look at this as a total unit and giving myself the best opportunity to get good results.

The cover sold me . . .
The frame went together and for the most part seemed acceptable. But, my expectations greatly heightened when when I opened the protective bag to remove and examine the cover. I thought it be a well made piece of goods. It completely wraps the frame...all sides, top and bottom. It seems thick enough and the materials and welting of good quality. And, it went on fairly easily. Based on a good deal of research online, I believed that I had selected the right foundation, and the PlushBeds Orthopedic Foundation proved to meet my expectations.

Orthopedic Foundation is great
We decided we needed a sturdy foundation after the old box spring just wasn't doing the trick. After comparing metal ones and wooden ones, we decided to go with the Orthopedic, even though it was a little more expensive. It came quickly and was very easy to assemble, only took about 15 minutes, and I was able to do it by myself. I did need another person to help lift it onto the bed frame, as it is a bit heavy. I was pleased when I realized I didn't have to attach every single slat to the frame, they are attached to each other with fabric strips and they just fold out onto the top of the frame. The foundation is very sturdy and does not squeak like a metal one would. The slats are closely spaced and wide enough to carry the load. I would recommend this foundation to others.
