program in Fall 2019 at any accredited American college, university, or trade school.
For the year 2019, our designated topic and title for green scholarship essay submissions is “The Top 10 Things a Consumer can do to Help the Environment”. The essay should be no less than 1,000 words, and may be longer to adequately cover the necessary material.
Questions That Should be Considered When Writing Your Essay
Students should introduce the topic by exploring briefly some of the ecological problems and their effects that we face today as a society due to negative consumer practices, and then proceed with the bulk of the essay focusing on discussing 10 suitable and actionable items that when undertaken by consumers, can make a substantial difference in the cleanliness and health of our ecosystem.
Points will be awarded for originality and creativity, but also practicality (suggestions that are less likely to be acted upon are not as useful), so be imaginative and use your creative problem-solving skills, while pondering how easily the steps you are suggesting will be in actual adoption. Careful attention to this instruction will aid the student in setting his or her essay apart from the rest.
