The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in March of 2013 that the year of 2011 saw 3.4 million jobs in the Green Goods and Services (GGS) industry. These jobs accounted for 2.6 percent of all employment within the U.S. These numbers are up from 3.1 million green goods and services jobs representing 2.4 percent of total employment in 2010.
